Overview
Lycée Amiral de Grasse is a public upper-secondary school on avenue Sainte-Lorette in Grasse. As a public school funded by the French Ministry of Education, it charges no tuition.
It has a boarding house for girls and boys. For many pupils it is the route into French universities, technical courses and professional careers.
Pupils prepare the Bac général or the Bac technologique STMG (management), and the school also lists a première ST2S (health and social care). After the Bac, it runs two BTS courses.
Curriculum and programmes
The French Baccalauréat
Lycée Amiral teaches the final three years of secondary school (Seconde, Première, Terminale, ages 15–18), which lead to the Baccalauréat, France’s national secondary qualification. The Bac is demanding, exam-based and widely respected.
Both pathways share core subjects: French, history-geography, modern languages, PE and philosophy (Terminale only). Specialisation starts in Première and depends on the pathway. Languages on offer include German, English, Spanish, Italian and Latin.
The Bac is recognised internationally. Graduates go on to French universities, engineering and business schools, technical courses, apprenticeships or straight into work. There is no tuition.

The Bac technologique STMG offers three specialisms: management and finance, marketing, and human resources and communication.
After the Bac, the school runs a BTS in technical sales (conseil et commercialisation de solutions techniques) and a BTS in operational retail management (management commercial opérationnel), full time or as apprenticeships.

- Newly arrived pupils: assessment by the académie’s CASNAV
