Overview
Patrick Mouratoglou, Serena Williams' former coach, founded the academy in 1996. Its international school in Biot, in the Sophia Antipolis park, pairs high-level tennis with an American section (with Advanced Placement courses) or a French section (Brevet and Baccalauréat). A dual diploma combines the French Bac and the American High School Diploma.
Pupils from grade 5 to grade 12 train every school day on the academy’s 33 courts, with fitness work alongside, and can board on campus.
Curriculum and programmes

American and French sections
The programme balances demanding academics with intensive tennis. Students choose between the French Baccalauréat, the American High School Diploma or a dual diploma.
The American section runs middle school (grades 5–8) and high school (grades 9–12) with honors, non-honors and Advanced Placement tracks. The French section covers the collège and lycée years, with Brevet, Baccalauréat, Cambridge English and PIX certification.
